Welcome
Hey everyone, and welcome to the first devlog for Until Exodus, a small horror shooter project I'm working on by myself.
Anyway, I thought I'd take the time to share progress and future plans for the game here, in case anyone might be interested in that kinda thing.
The game is wave based, where hordes of enemies attack a reactor under your protection, when the reactor fails or you die, the game ends. So as far as the player controller and the actual game is concerned, that's all in place.
The main focus recently has been to work on combat and enemies. The first one I implemented was a basic zombie-type of monster, I call them drifters. They're supposed to be a mutated blend of zombie and cyborg. They might look kinda menacing but they're really not that threatening until they show up in droves. As a result I started working on a new enemy last night in the form of this new monster, the consumer (names really aren't my strong suit), the idea of this character is to have a slightly faster enemy with strong melee attacks, stuns and projectiles. I'm hoping this adds another level of intensity when playing the game.
Anyways, that was a quick introduction and description of what I've been working on recently. I'm not sure if or how often I'll do these, but yeah, hope it was interesting!
